Can I use paper instead of a canvas?
Absolutely! If you don’t have a blank canvas you can also use watercolor paper or cardstock to paint your masterpiece. Just make sure the paper is on the thicker side so the paint doesn’t soak all the way through.
What kind of paint works best?
We like to use liquid watercolor paint when we’re salt painting. But you can also use diluted liquid food colouring. If you have art ink, that will also work if you dilute the ink with water.
