We definitely recommend choosing flowers with a single layer of thin petals, like little daisies. These stay flat on the rocks very easily. Any flowers with thick petals, too thick of a center, or multiple layers of petals are a lot harder to smooth down. Add a heavier layer of Mod Podge for thicker flowers and hold them down for a minute or so to help them stay in place. And if the flower you’re using has layered petals, carefully brush some Mod Podge in-between the layers to keep them stuck down.
