Our dollar store didn’t have white ping pong balls, but it’s definitely worth checking your local store!
How do I make earmuffs for my snowman ping pong ball?
You’ll need 2 pom poms (1/2 inch size) and a pipe cleaner. Cut the pipe cleaner to about 2-3/4 inches long. Glue one end of the pipe cleaner to the side of the snowman’s head. Glue the other end to the opposite side of the snowman’s head. Add a small amount of glue to each pom pom and press them against the ends of the pipe cleaner. Now your snowman has adorable earmuffs!
What else can I use as a scarf for my ping pong ball snowman?
We used gingham plaid ribbon (3/8 inch wide) and strips of Christmassy cotton fabric to makes scarves for our snowmen. As an alternative, use soft felt or braid 3 strands of yarn together for a soft “wool” scarf. You can even make a simple crochet chain scarf (add a single crochet into each chain to make a thicker scarf).
