We used blue food colouring and both blue and white iridescent glitter to make our slime ocean coloured. We like the look of fine glitter for this slime, but chunky glitter will also work well! We find that Renu Fresh contact lens solution works best when we make slime. Make sure whatever contact lens solution you use contains boric acid and sodium borate (it will be listed in the ingredients on the package or bottle), otherwise your glue mixture won’t turn into slime. Different brands may contain different amounts of boric acid, so you may need to adjust the amount of activator in your slime if you use a different brand. You can also dissolve 1 teaspoon of borax into 1 cup of hot water and use this liquid as an activator. Add a little bit of the mixture at a time, since it’s easy to over-activate slime with borax.
