Do you remember puffy paint? If you grew up in the 80’s or 90’s like I did, you might remember heading to the craft store to grab some neon colored puff paint so that you could personalize that white t-shirt for whatever event was coming up. We would decorate shirts for sleepovers, sports teams, school events and all sorts of things. Before cameo or silhouette machines, puff paint was our only option! Even though I always had high expectations for how my shirt would turn out, it always ended up looking pretty bad. This recipe for DIY snow paint is like a homemade version of puffy paint! No, you can’t really put it on a shirt but it’s so fun to paint on a piece of cardstock or construction paper. This is such a great indoor winter activity for kids of all ages. It is a little addicting to make and play with!
This snow paint has such a fun texture and is fool proof to make. Sprinkle some faux snow while it’s still wet to give it a more realistic touch. Once the paint is dry, it is soft and spongy to the touch! The full instructions are at the bottom of this post, but here is what you will need:
White Glue Shaving Cream Faux Snow Paint Brush Construction Paper
All you need to do is grab a bowl and squirt in about a half cup of shaving cream.
Add in a few tablespoons of glue. It doesn’t have to be exact, you can’t really mess this up!
Carefully mix it up.
Use the mixture to “paint” onto a dark colored piece of paper. While the paint is still dry, sprinkle on some faux snow.
Once it’s dry, the paint will be soft and spongy and resemble snow!
Your kids will be so addicted to this fun snow paint!
