Here’s What You’ll Need:
Construction Paper Green Popsicle Sticks Sparkly Pom Poms Tacky Glue Scissors
We used green popsicle sticks from the dollar store, but if you only have plain ones, you can use a marker to colour them green, or even paint them green. If you don’t have popsicle sticks, try using a wooden skewer, pipe cleaner, drinking straw – or whatever else you can find at home!
How to Make Construction Paper Flowers
Only have white paper at home? No problem! Use markers to draw pretty shapes and patterns on the petals to make them colourful and even more personalized. You can use any kind of pom pom for the middle – big, small, sparkly, fuzzy. Or if you prefer, you can cut out a small circle or heart from yellow paper for the middle. You can even draw a face on it for the middle of your flower.
This was the first time my 7 year old has made heart shapes, so I drew the shape on the folded paper and passed it to her to cut out. She was able to do the rest of this paper heart craft completely by herself.
These construction paper flowers are such a great craft for spring and summer and a great kids craft for Mother’s Day. Hang them on the wall or fridge or use them as decorations in the doll house. This paper heart craft is quick and easy for kids of all ages.
