Helpful Tips:
What type of paint do I need to make coffee filter Easter baskets?
We used liquid watercolour paint to dye our coffee filters. These paints are really bright and colourful, allowing you to use just a little bit in the water to create beautiful spring colours. Drops of food colouring will also work to dye the coffee filters. Or you can draw on a stack of 2 coffee filters with washable markers and then spray them with water before placing them in the glass to dry.
How do I make the basket more sturdy?
If you need your basket to be more sturdy, cut out a small cardboard circle, a little smaller than the base of the coffee filter and glue it between the first 2 coffee filter layers.
How can I display coffee filter Easter baskets?
We think these flower baskets look adorable with Easter grass and chocolate eggs in them. They also look really pretty with a battery operated tealight candle! These coffee filter baskets also make a great holder for other Easter crafts like watercolor Easter eggs or yarn carrots!
What other crafts can I make with coffee filters?
If you want to make more flower themed coffee filter crafts, we’ve got you covered! Try making coffee filter flowers, coffee filter hydrangeas, or even coffee filter poppies! There’s also a lot of fun seasonal crafts you can make with coffee filters. Coffee filter leaves are awesome for fall (stick them in the window like a suncatcher!), while coffee filter snowflakes are beautiful for Christmas and winter.
These coffee filter Easter baskets are the perfect reminder of blooming flowers in spring. Make this easy and fun Easter craft with the kids and then display their chocolate eggs in these cute flower baskets!
