Handprint Spider Craft
Handprint crafts make such fun keepsakes. You’ll definitely want to write the date on the back of your handprint spider so you can look back and remember just how small their hand used to be! This is a fun craft for younger kids that teaches hand eye coordination. Both the threading and the hole punch are great for increasing hand strength and fine motor skills. Real spiders can definitely be creepy, but this handprint spider is super cute. Spiders and their intricate webs just scream Halloween! And a personalized craft is such a fun way to celebrate the spooky season!

How can I display this craft?
You can leave the string long and use it to hang the spider web. Or you can cut off the extra yarn and place the plate on a shelf or mantel. You could also put a magnet on the back of the paper plate and hang it on the fridge.
What if I don’t want to paint my handprint spider?
Instead of painting the paper plate, try colouring it with crayons or markers. You can add stickers, rhinestones, or glitter to the web and/or the spider. The spider also looks great covered in pompoms or fuzzy fabric!
What other handprint crafts can I make?
There are so many fun options for handprint crafts! You can make a handprint butterfly, or even a butterfly tree out of construction paper. You could also make a handprint sunflower, a handprint crab, or an easy bunny craft for Easter.
This is such a great craft for toddlers, preschoolers, and younger kids! To make your spider extra spooky, trying adding even more googly eyes — or even coloured googly eyes!
