Do I have to use the sheep template?
Our printable sheep templates make this sheep craft really easy to make, but you definitely don’t have to use the template if you don’t want. Simply draw a cloud shape for the sheep’s body, an egg-like shape for the head, and ovals (or pointed ovals!) for the ears.
What can I use to draw on black paper?
We used a silver paint pen to write on the black paper. If you have a white or metallic paint pen, they work really well! A silver Sharpie marker would also do the job. You can also use a white crayon, white or lighter coloured gel pens, or even colored pencils, to write on black paper!
What if I don’t have white cardstock?
If you don’t have white cardstock, you can cut out the body shape on the template and trace it onto a cereal box. You need some kind of heavy paper or cardboard to make this craft. Unfortunately white paper is too flimsy to hold the cotton balls.
How else can I decorate my sheep craft?
Instead of cotton balls, use white poms poms, shredded paper, packing peanuts, or anything else you can think of that will look like fluffy wool. You could even cut out little bits of yarn or paint bubble wrap white for some fun texture!
This sheep craft is such a cute Easter craft, but it’s also perfect for Sunday School or a farm studies unit at school. Make a fluffy sheep craft using cotton balls, or leave them off for a simple paper craft. So easy!
