Last year, my daughter and I made pretzel sleighs for our OREO Snowmen so this year I thought we’d try something a little bit different and a whole lot easier – and these Teddy Graham Sleds were perfect! Our Teddy Grahams commanded their own candy cane & chocolate sleighs, and only required 3 ingredients.

The most time consuming aspect of this cute Christmas treat was allowing the melted chocolate to set. We had to hold the candy canes upright for about 2 minutes for each sleigh, but maybe if you had shot glasses you could stick one in between the two candy canes to help keep them upright for you. (I sadly don’t have any!) These Candy Cane Sleighs were inspired by a similar food craft over on Glue Sticks Blog.

The full printable recipe is at the end of this post, but here’s what you’ll need:

Miniature candy canes Teddy Graham cookies Chocolate bars

Unwrap your candy canes and chocolate bars (I had to unwrap about 2 candy canes for every cane that remained in one piece).

Cut the chocolate bars so that two portions can fit on the long end of one of the miniature candy canes with a Teddy Graham in the center.

Group 2 candy canes, 2 chocolate portions, and 1 cookie for each Sled. Melt the remaining chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl for 25 seconds, stirring well before reheating if necessary. Hold a candy cane with the hook side up and the long side flat against your work surface. Add a small dab of chocolate to the bottom of the inner hook and place a chocolate portion on top. Add a small dab of chocolate to a second candy cane and balance the chocolate portion between the two.

Add a dab of chocolate to the back of the candy cane sleigh (on each candy cane) and add the final chocolate portion. Dip the Teddy Graham cookie in chocolate and insert it in between the chocolate portions – moving them closer together if needed to hold the cookie in place. You may need to hold the candy canes in place until the chocolate sets a bit, to avoid them from moving. Repeat with all sleds.

These Teddy Graham Candy Cane Sleds are a cute and easy Christmas treat for your Christmas party or would make a cute lunch box surprise for a special kid! They are also easy enough for the kids to help make – which is perfect for a Christmas play date or a Teddy Bear Picnic!
